What to Bring for Your FFL Transfer Pickup in Hudson, FL
Pickup usually takes about 15 minutes. However, a NICS delay can add time, so it helps to call before you drive over. For the fastest visit, we also recommend booking an appointment.
Pickup hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We are closed on weekends and some federal holidays.
- Valid photo ID. A government-issued ID showing your current address, such as a Florida driver’s license.
- Age 21 or older. Florida requires buyers to be at least 21 to purchase from a licensed dealer.
- Form 4473 and NICS. We complete the federal form together, then run the background check.
- Florida waiting period. A 3-day waiting period applies, unless you hold a valid Florida CWFL.
- Out-of-state buyers. Federal law lets us transfer handguns only to Florida residents. Long guns are possible for some non-residents.
- $35 transfer fee. Paid at pickup, per firearm.
Suppressor & SBR Transfer in Hudson, FL
Since October 9, 2026, the ATF no longer requires Form 4 approval or NFA registration for suppressors and short-barreled rifles. Because we hold SOT Class 2 status, we can receive these items from other dealers and transfer them to you on a standard Form 4473.
In other words, there are no fingerprints, no photos, and no months-long wait. Have the selling dealer ship to us, and then pick up after your background check. For NFA transfer pricing, please give us a call.
- Prefer registration?Voluntary Form 4 registration is still available at a $0 tax.
- Not includedMachine guns and destructive devices still require full NFA processing.
This change comes from ATF enforcement policy, not a repeal, so future policy could change. SBRs still need an approved ATF Form 5320.20 before crossing state lines, and other states may restrict these items. This is general information, not legal advice.

FFL Transfer FAQs for Hudson, FL Buyers
How much does an FFL transfer cost in Hudson, FL?
An FFL transfer at Reldan Tactical costs $35 per firearm, and you pay when you pick up. For suppressor and SBR transfers, please call for pricing.
How long does a transfer take?
Most transfers are ready within 48 hours after the firearm arrives. After that, Florida’s 3-day waiting period applies unless you hold a valid Florida CWFL.
Where should the seller ship my firearm?
Have the seller ship to Reldan Tactical LLC, 7241 State Road 52, Hudson, FL 34667. If they need a copy of our license, email sales@reldantactical.com with the subject line “FFL Copy.”
Can I buy from a private seller in another state?
Yes. The seller ships the firearm to us, and we complete the transfer to you. Because the sale crosses state lines, federal law requires it to go through a licensed dealer.
What happens if my background check is delayed or denied?
A delay simply means NICS needs more time, and we will call you when it resolves. If the check is denied, we cannot release the firearm. In that case, we will work with you on returning it to the seller.
Do I need an appointment to pick up?
Walk-ins are welcome during business hours. Still, an appointment is recommended, so we can have your paperwork ready when you arrive.
